Story about the innerlife of how the fashion world is being run. This is where you and me doesn’t belong. I mean, who would know what dress would go with what shoes?
I read somewhere that the character of the main actress is a portrayal of the life of one of the fashion moghul. Can’t remember who. But to tell you the truth, I don’t think that it’s much different from the real thing.
I mean, some people can be quite bitchy, overbearing and controlling freaks, right? Oh, it doesn’t in your real world?
Being an intern or junior worker can be quite intimidating. Except Monica Lewensky, I suppose. But this movie tells you to stick to it. That the working world is not like the easy life of university days. That sometimes you have to do something which you don’t understand or that wouldn’t agree, but as a worker, you have to make the best of it. That you have to bite the bullet.
That there are people out there which pure duty is to make your life miserable. But there are those that are nice and could be your friend if you’d give them the chance.
That sometimes work clashes with your life and your other relationships. But you have to understand that your work is not your life. Sometimes you have to make the decision on which one is more important (here’s a hint: your LIFE!).
And it doesn’t hurt to look good… It makes you feel better about yourself. I like how Anne dressed herself in this movie. Before this, i only remember her in the Princess Diary series. And oh, in that horrible ‘Brokeback Mountain’ movie. Urgh.
